Creating Dramatic Images is an intensive 1-day, hands-on workshop covering why and how you should optimise your initial exposures; how to visualise a scene from the point of view of its postproduction; and how to think through the various changes that are needed to create a dramatic image.
Shoot The Street is a 1½-day workshop, designed to teach a range of technical, creative, and narrative skills that will enable you to produce visually compelling street images.
Shoot The City is a 1½-day hands-on workshop, designed to teach you the technical and creative skills you need in order to create technically excellent and aesthetically stunning images of any city, using Porto’s UNESCO World Heritage as the perfect learning material.
The technical aspects of portrait photography can be learnt pretty quickly, but what most photographers find overwhelming about shooting people is everything that can’t be controlled with a knob or a switch: hopefully you won’t be one of those people any more, at the end of the “Behind the Portrait” workshop.
Day 1 of The Complete Street Series is all about overcoming the fear of making Street Photography, and learning techniques to stay invisible.
Cradoc Bagshaw, who specializes in “working quickly and quietly and getting photographs that are worth looking at more than once”, will introduce you to the tried and tested techniques he has been honing for years, guide you and review your work with you throughout an action packed day of shooting in the UNESCO World Heritage area of Porto.
On Day 3 of The Complete Street Series, you will learn how to make photo stories, within the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Porto. Walk the streets and learn how to layer your photographs with meaningful foreground and background relationships. Different approaches and guidance will be given as to how to transfer photography from a thinking to an emotional process.
